Growing up, my grandma’s house was covered in photos and it gave little me such a sense of belonging. I was connected to the people living on her walls — I could see my nose, my smile, my eyes reflected in those images even though I may have never met the person in the photo. That is an amazing thing!
YOUR FAMILY SHOULD BE ON YOUR WALL
Instead of leaving your photos trapped on your phone, I’ll consider what will work best for your family. Maybe that’s a custom, heirloom-quality album, or maybe a collection of framed prints. I’ll walk you through choosing and ordering so you always have images that will become part of your legacy.
It really depends on how you’re feeling postpartum. If you’d like immediate newborn photos, a Fresh 48 session at the hospital or homebirth location is a wonderful way to capture those first hours.
If you’re feeling exhausted or overwhelmed, there’s no need to follow a strict timeline — anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks is a great window for newborn photos.
Sessions can be held at home or in the studio, whichever works best for your baby and family. The goal is a comfortable environment where everyone can relax and enjoy the experience.

As a Spokane newborn photographer I bring my years of experience as a mom and a photographer, focusing on baby-led posing. There’s no excessive use of props or complicated setups.
Mom and dad are always included in the photos, and the session moves with the baby’s mood — taking breaks to feed, burp, change diapers, or regroup. Patience is key: if anyone is anxious or stressed, baby will feel it too.
Newborn sessions typically last 1.5–3 hours, depending on your baby. Editing takes 2–4 weeks. Afterward, we’ll have a viewing party, where you’ll see the images, mockups of art in your home, and studio samples.
Together, we’ll choose products that best suit your family and your home — based on what we discussed during your pre-session consultation. No pressure, just a helping hand.
